Pricing
Every cake or cookie is baked to order from scratch with the freshest ingredients available; they are not mass produced and frozen. I believe that using real butter and eggs, whipping and sour creams, and cake flours results in cakes and cookies with that "melt in your mouth" texture and taste. It's a little more expensive for me, but I feel my clients deserve the very best quality for their money. You'll only need one bite to experience the difference that this attention makes to the final product.
Time and design variations are the most costly factors in determining the final price of your cake or cookie order. All cakes start with a base price that includes cake, icing and simple decorations, i.e., ribbon or pearl borders, quilting pattern, swiss dots, etc. Fondant or gumpaste decorations or intricate piping will be priced according to degree of difficulty and time involved. Sugar flowers may either be purchased or made by me and price will depend on cost and/or degree of difficulty and time involved.
A thought for your consideration: The average price of dessert at local restaurants (which most often are mass-produced, frozen and shipped) is $5.00/serving. With a Creative Cake or Cookie, you are getting a dessert specifically designed and prepared for you that will truly turn your special occasion into a "life celebration."
One tier fondant covered cakes (includes layer of buttercream) - base price of $3.50/serving. Minimum order - $60.00
One tier buttercream iced cakes- base price of $4.00/serving. Minimum order - $60.00
Two or more tiers fondant covered cakes (includes layer of buttercream) - base price of $3.75/serving. Minimum order - $75.00
Two or more tiers buttercream iced cakes - base price of $4.25/serving. Minimum order - $75.00
Wedding cake covered in fondant (includes layer of buttercream) - base price of $4.25/serving. (Includes delivery within 15 miles of business address, setup and free 6" anniversary cake with orders of at least 100 servings). Minimum order - $100.00
Wedding cake iced in buttercream - base price of $4.75/serving. (Includes delivery within 15 miles of business address, setup, and free 6" anniversary cake with orders of at least 100 servings). Minimum order - $100.00
Special Note on Wedding Cakes: To ensure my quality and personalized service, I carefully limit the number of orders accepted. This limitation is based on servings and level of detail required of each cake. Therefore, I can give each cake our fullest attention and provide every bride and groom a cake that exceeds their expectations both in taste and appearance. Consequently, it's important to place your order as early as possible.
Sculpted/3D cakes - base price of $6.00/serving. Size of layers needed for construction of cake and complexity of design determine final cost per serving. Minimum order - $150.00
Additional cake flavors - $10.00 per flavor
Additional icing color (excludes decoration colors) - $10.00 per color
Custom color matching (to color schemes, fabrics, etc.) - $.25/serving
Cake toppers - start at $25.00
Cake cutting service - $1.00/serving or a minimum of $100.00
Cupcakes - $2.75 each. Minimum order $60.00. Decorations may require additional charge.
Cookies - $1.25 per inch. Decorative piping on cookie - $.25/cookie. Minimum order - $60.00 (Need at least two week notice.)
Every cake will be priced individually. Prices are subject to change without notice. Wedding cakes require a non-refundable deposit of $100.00 to reserve date for 60 days. Fifty (50%) percent of the final cost of cake is due at the time the contract is signed. Balance is payable in full one month prior to your wedding. If less than one month, payment must be cash or money order. Cakes under $75.00 are payable upon delivery. Cakes over $75.00 also require a deposit equal to 1/2 of the final cost of cake and final payment is due upon delivery. Cakes that are three tiers or more will require a special support system to assure cakes that are stable, level and do not lean. A deposit equal to the replacement cost plus shipping/handling will be required. Deposit will be returned within seven (7) days after return of system, less any damage or loss of pieces.
SALES TAX WILL BE APPLIED TO ALL ORDERS.

Servings
Number of servings is based upon a 1" x 2" x 4 1/2" slice. Each tier of cake consists of two 2" inch layers which results in a 4 1/2" tier. Larger slices are available at an additional cost.

Ordering
It's never too early to reserve your special date. Even if you're not sure what "sweet delight" you'd like, reserve your date as early as possible and then take your time to work with me to create something worthy of your life celebration.
As all of my products are baked fresh (I do not keep a supply of cakes and cookies in my freezer), I prefer a minimum notice of two weeks for cakes, and one week for cookies. All orders are subject to my availability and I carefully limit the number of bookings to ensure high quality products.
